Six years ago, he was credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that focus on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began uploading videos on YouTube in the early months of 2012 at the age of 13, under the username "MrBeast6000"; his early content included everything from "Let's Plays to "videos which estimated the wealth of other YouTubers."
